You can use something like the Global Link RV Entry Door Locking Latch Kit # 295-000019. This latch will fit on doors that are 1-1/4" to 1-1/2" thick and fits in latch cutouts that are between 2-1/2" wide x 3-1/2" tall to a maximum of 3" wide x 4" tall.
